Guernsey Cheshire Home care workers, Gerda Cirule and Victorija Okulevica will be walking around five islands in five days to raise funds for the Home.
Gerda Cirule and Victorija Okulevica will be walking around Jersey, Alderney, Guernsey, Sark and then Herm as part of a challenge to raise money for the Guernsey Cheshire Home. The girls are both qualified care workers with the Home.
Originating from Latvia, the girls have been in training for a number of weeks, religiously pounding the roads of Guernsey to get themselves prepared for the journey ahead.
The Jersey leg will be the most daunting, approximately 48 miles of undulating cliff paths and winding roads to complete. Guernsey is equally as challenging with 38 miles to complete.
"Gerda and I are very keen to give something back to the Home and the excellent work it does for those who suffer with physical disability. It is a wonderful place with lovely residents and they have been our inspiration," said Vicki.
Vicki and Gerda start on Friday 16th September in Jersey, followed by walks around Alderney, Sark, Herm and hope to complete it in Guernsey on the 20th.
